A Time Forever Before is a short film that represents one of my most rewarding collaborations. Christopher Miller crafted a charming, strange and absolutely mesmerizing little fantasy about a hotel for weary time travelers, a pair of time-crossed lovers and an evil King. I was able to use a lot of strange, disparate influences in this score, and you will notice several themes woven throughout these tracks. Perhaps the most striking is the Time theme, featured in "A Traveller Arrives", and is almost always played on the Erhu and soaked with otherworldly reverb. I hired an exceptional Erhu player for this, Michael Fitzmaurice. However, you'll also notice I recorded my own Erhu on a couple of the weirder tracks, because I just couldn't resist having fun with that thing.

There is also a beautiful song that Christopher wrote the lyrics for. I helped bring it to life in the final track with the help of my versatile mother, Tracy LaGuardia. This song doubles as the love theme for Zebulon and Eala throughout the score.

I can't thank Mr. Miller enough for crafting a story full of heart, imagination and wonder, or my fellow musicians for bringing such life to this score!
